A box set gathers several records in one rigid box, with their sleeves and sometimes a booklet or printed artwork. Everything shelves as a single block, and the box guards the vinyl better than a plain cardboard sleeve. It suits longer projects and records that belong together. Dreams by Mr Sam x Quench, a limited run, comes in this form. You pull it out, you put it back, and it holds its own spot in the collection.
