Remastering means going back to the original tapes and working the recording up again. On this page you'll find Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene in its anniversary edition on BMG, plus Rock Spectacle by Barenaked Ladies and Bazzi's Cosmic, both on Real Gone Music. It isn't automatically better than the original press, plenty of collectors still swear by the first cut. It's a fresh take on the same recording. Where you land is down to your own ear.
