PAUL JOHNSON – BUMP TALKIN' (2LP)
A Chicago house classic finally reissued: 'Bump Talkin'', Paul Johnson's debut album originally released on Peacefrog in 1995, returns here as a double LP for its 35th anniversary. Johnson, a legend of the Chicago sound who passed away in 2021, lays out all his craft here — the raw, rolling groove that built his name before the worldwide smash 'Get Get Down'. Pure jacking tracks on 'Bump Talkin'' and 'Bouncing Bed Springs', deeper textures on 'Time Of Love' and 'Caught Up In Your Love', and that straight-ahead 'Autobahn Cruise'. Essential material from a master, sitting right next to the Dance Mania and Relief output. A must for anyone who loves house raw and no-nonsense.35th Anniversary Edition obi-strip. Smokey Vinyl 2LP.
