Hemka – Liminal EP
Hemka resurfaces on Vault Records with the Liminal EP, four house cuts built for the dancefloor's tense late hours. The French producer and DJ, born in Marseille and based in Paris, made her name with hypnotic, psychedelia-tinged techno, and she channels that same groove science into a looser house format here without losing any of the tension. On the A-side, 'Echoes' sets the scene and 'Chimera' drives it home with shifting textures. On the flip, 'Ritual' locks into a magnetic loop before 'Afterglow' closes things on a dreamier note. Full of character and craft, no filler: a pre-order worth flagging if you like your house cool-headed and relentlessly moving.
