Robbert Mononom – Sensory Overload EP
A welcome reissue of a piece of free party heritage: originally released in 1998 on the Mononom label, the Sensory Overload EP dives into the dark, psychedelic side of the Dutch teknival scene. Behind Robbert Mononom is Robbert Latumahina, a member of Mononom Soundsystem, one of the pioneering crews behind the very first teknivals in the Netherlands. Three untitled sides, three relentless builds: hypnotic rhythms, twisted sequences, heavy modulation and distorted electronics. It's raw, mental, built for big rigs and never-ending nights. Acid, tribal techno that has lost none of its punch after more than twenty years. New pressing, audio samples on the product page — essential for anyone into the dirty, physical sound of early freetekno.
