STEVE STOLL – PROPER ARCHIVES VOL. 1
Steve Stoll digging into his own archives on his own Proper N.Y.C. label — exactly the reissue we were waiting for. The New York producer, born on Staten Island in 1967, has been cutting uncompromising minimal, analogue-minded techno since the early 90s, first spotted by Richie Hawtin. This Vol. 1 gathers three pieces true to his signature: the raw mix of "Proper Thirty (B1)," the hypnotic pulse of "Vertical State Dub" and a whole B-side carried by "Observer (A)." No filler, no empty nostalgia — pure studio techno, straight to the point, from an artist who knows his machines better than anyone. New pressing, available to pre-order.
