DJ Ultramars – Cab Carlo
A long-awaited reissue of this tribe/freetekno classic from DJ Ultramars, the man behind the Mars Assault label. « Cab Carlo » (A1) is his biggest track, first released on Mars Picture 1 in 1999 and again on Toolbox Killerz 25 in 2015: uplifting, in-your-face tribe that still tears up the dancefloor and hasn't aged a day. On the flip, « Ennui (Voicemix) » dates back to 2003 (Mars Picture 2) and takes another route — a hypnotic female vocal drifting through the echo over a deep, steady bassline. Ultramars never made many tracks and mostly spends his time putting out other people's music on his label, so this fresh recut is the chance to grab two rare cuts on vinyl again.
