DAFT PUNK – Around The World
Two cornerstones of Daft Punk's catalogue on a single 12", reshaped by the in-house edits of the Rework Recordings label. On the A-side, "Around The World", originally released in 1997 on Homework, gets the "Special remix 27k" treatment: the hypnotic bassline and looping hook stay intact while the groove is recalibrated for the floor. On the B-side, "One More Time", the 2000 anthem from Discovery with Romanthony's vocoded vocal, also runs through the 27k rework. These are edits built for mixing, leaning house and nu-disco, honouring the DNA of the originals rather than betraying it. If you want to spin both anthems in the club without digging out the period pressings, this format is made for it.
