Cassius – 1999 (2LP + CD)
The record that launched French touch, full stop. Released in 1999, the debut album by Cassius — the Paris duo of Philippe Zdar and Hubert Blanc-Francard aka Boombass — set the template for a whole sound: filtered disco, chopped funk and dancefloor-ready house grooves. It holds the hit 'Cassius 1999', a UK top 10 single, alongside 'Feeling For You', 'La Mouche' and 'Foxxy', the duo's very first track. This double-LP repress with bundled CD finally puts an undisputed classic back in circulation. If you love golden-era French house, this isn't optional. Brand new pressing.
