Shadow Child – Beginnings Vol 1
Shadow Child is Simon Neale, one of the key figures in UK house for over a decade, the former Dave Spoon turned champion of the British house sound through Rinse FM and the Food Music label. Beginnings Vol 1 gathers two tracks that laid the foundations of the project. On the A-side, 'String Thing': the founding cut that launched the alias on the club scene, all taut strings and biting bass, a dancefloor staple. On the B-side, 'The Only One' carries on with the same no-nonsense drive. For anyone following modern British house, this brand-new vinyl on Food Music is a welcome return to the roots. Pre-order, released 4 December 2026.
