Marvin Gaye – Music / Mercy Mercy "House Remixes"

Two cornerstones of What's Going On (1971) reworked for the dancefloor: 'Music' and 'Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)' by Marvin Gaye, the Detroit soul legend who passed away in 1984. Here Tamla hands these classics to house remixes that keep Gaye's soulful phrasing intact while laying down a club-ready groove — side A offers two takes on 'Music' (Reprise and House Remix), side B a house rework of the ecological 'Mercy Mercy Me'. The idea is simple and devastating: let a towering voice breathe over a tempo built for the floor, without betraying the original. A bridge between the Motown legacy and today's house. New vinyl, pre-order, release expected 23 October 2026.
