Michael J. Blood – Fixed Fire (Marbled vinyl)
Michael J. Blood makes his second appearance on a Clone subsidiary, and it's a natural fit for the Royal Oak imprint. The producer stays an enigma — rumored to be from Manchester, UK — but the intent is clear: he draws on the two cities that shaped so many before him, the vibes and deepness of Detroit and Chicago, with a fresh, timeless twist. His honed sample craft hits hard across the five tracks ("Fixed Fire", "Cardinal Earth", "Mutable Water", "Fixed Air", "Cardinal Fire"), painting an ominous portrait of modern times that still works the floor without ever going easy. A coherent EP sitting between deep house, tech house and techno. Marbled pressing, limited edition.
