Renegade Soundwave were the gritty London sound of the late 80s / early 90s — breakbeat, dub and electro — formed in 1986 by Gary Asquith, Carl Bonnie and Danny Briottet. Here their classics — The Phantom, Probably A Robbery, Ozone Breakdown, Thunder — are handed to a line-up that speaks for itself: Carl Cox reworks The Phantom, Mr.C delivers an acid take on Probably A Robbery, alongside Altern 8, Leeroy Thornhill, Freestylers, Dreadzone, Gaudi & Don Letts, Leftfield and Nookie. Twelve rewires, twelve angles, no filler: techno, acid and breaks each get a turn without ever betraying the original's renegade spirit. Pressed on coloured vinyl, available to pre-order.
