Volume 2 of Armada's ASOT Classics series gathers three anthems that defined late-90s trance. On the A-side, Chicane (Nick Bracegirdle) brings in the voice of Moya Brennan of Clannad on "Saltwater": Celtic melancholy over wide pads, one of the most moving tracks the genre ever produced. The B-side hits hard with two classics: Veracocha's "Carte Blanche" — the Ferry Corsten / Vincent de Moor pairing — in its Extended Mix, that synth line everyone recognises instantly; then Insigma's "Open Our Eyes" in the Original Mix, peak uplifting trance.
