Garfield Fleming – Don't Send Me Away (reissue)
This is one of those records whose originals fetch dizzying prices: Don't Send Me Away, first issued in 1981 on Becket, has become one of the most sought-after boogie and modern soul cuts on the collectors' scene. The song even enjoyed a second life in 2018, when a clip of Garfield Fleming himself singing along at a Paris record stall went viral. This Unidisc reissue finally brings it back within reach, pressed on coloured vinyl, with the groove of "You Got Dat Right" and its instrumental dub on the B-side. A timeless slice of American soul-disco that hasn't lost an ounce of its warmth.
