The Trammps – Disco Inferno
This is the absolute disco landmark, the one that tears the roof off: The Trammps' "Disco Inferno," the Philadelphia band fronted by the fiery voice of Jimmy Ellis. Cut at Sigma Sound, the track pushes the disco engine to its limit — pulsing bass, blazing horns, soaring vocals, and that immortal "burn, baby, burn." Carried by the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, it earned platinum status and a Grammy, cementing it as a pillar of the Philly sound. On the B-side, "That's Where The Happy People Go" keeps the party rolling. Pure, unstoppable disco, made to be played loud. New vinyl.
