Oliver Cheatham – Get Down Saturday Night
A dancefloor landmark reissued on coloured vinyl. "Get Down Saturday Night" is Oliver Cheatham's 1983 hit — the American singer, born in Detroit, co-wrote it with One Way's Kevin McCord. Seven and a half minutes of unstoppable disco-funk: round bassline, horns and a soul voice that grabs you from the first bars, with that chorus everyone knows even without knowing who sang it. The track got a second life when Room 5 sampled it in 2003 for "Make Luv," a worldwide smash. An absolute classic, the kind that fills a floor every time, here on coloured vinyl. Essential for anyone who loves disco that truly grooves.
