Reissue of an Afro-boogie holy grail: Galaxy's sole album, by a short-lived Nigerian outfit, originally released in Nigeria only in 1981. Produced by Jake Sollo — a leading figure of Nigerian funk and soul, who tragically died in a car accident in 1985 — it was recorded in England, driven by Randy Taylor's funky bass and the vocals of the "Galaxy girls." The result is high-gloss boogie-disco, somewhere between east-coast soul and the quirkier grooves of the P&P Records era. "The Bed's Too Big Without You," "The Groove Machine" and "Heart To Heart" alone are worth it. Long a hard-to-find collector's piece, it returns here brand new on Afrodelic.
