The debut album from The Whispers, the Los Angeles soul quintet led by twin brothers Walter and Wallace "Scotty" Scott. Cut in the late '60s for Ron Carson's Soul Clock label, the record first appeared simply as The Whispers before being retitled Planets of Life for reissue — this is where the group broke through, with "Seems Like I Gotta Do Wrong" landing them their first R&B Top 10. Golden-age West Coast soul at its warmest: lush arrangements, aching vocals, and that killer "I Can Remember" plus the funk of the title cut still tearing up dancefloors.
