Pete Tong – Pete Tong + Friends: Ibiza Classics (5th Anniversary) LP
Pete Tong returns for the fifth anniversary of his orchestral project: Ibiza Classics anniversary edition, on Ministry Of Sound. The formula is unchanged and it still works — take the anthems that defined the island's nights and rewrite them big, strings and brass, with conductor Jules Buckley at the helm. Highlights include "Toca's Miracle" with Armin van Buuren and Poppy Baskcomb, a "Rhythm Of The Night" swelled by The Essential Orchestra, "Starlight" with Oden & Fatzo and MNEK, and "Free (Do What U Want)" carried by Ultra Naté and LP Giobbi, also delivered as an LP Giobbi Club Edit. Dancefloor house run through a symphonic filter — nostalgic and built for the system. New vinyl, available to pre-order.
