A fine meeting on Heist Recordings between Italy's Riva Starr and Australian duo Close Counters, with Andre Espeut's soulful vocals gracing three of the four cuts. "Push Your Luck" leads with warm, groovy house — a swinging drum track and a hook that lands, working just as well in a warm-up as at peak time. "Gearbox" tightens the screws on the machine side, rawer and more direct, while "Dizzy" brings back the vocals and a deeper mood.
