A lost track finally surfacing. Sharon Brown — the Harlem singer behind the boogie classic "I Specialize In Love" — wrote "The Family Tree" back in 1981. It picked up club play on both sides of the Atlantic but was never officially issued, until now, courtesy of genre specialists Acid Jazz. Three versions here: the 12" Disco Mix laying out the full post-disco boogie power of the era, the tighter 7" Edit, and the OST Super Disco Break Beat for diggers and DJs. Sharon Brown's vocal carries the whole thing. Don't sleep on this one if you love that early-80s New York sound. New vinyl, audio samples available on the product page.
